Subject: Old 3.5" discs.

North East Wimmera district of Victoria.

G'day,

Having a clean out - got an old computer [still going!] last used in 2006 -  Win 98.

Sheltered workshop in nearby town recycle such computers, old DVD player/recorders, and TV's.  So that's where the computer is going.

A lot of old photos and other files are on 3.5" discs, and the local computer shop says they can save what is on the disc to a USB 'stick'.

Thought if they could, maybe I could too!

Looked on E bay - see 3.5" drives to plug in to USB for about $20 Au.

Question -  anybody 'been there, done that"?   Did they work easily and well?

The  description lists every Windows  EXCEPT Win 10, but that's not a problem, as what I am using to type this is Win 7 operating system.

TIA.
