southern MN | Along with the other suggestions, all real possibilities, it May be a mismatched set of software.
I don't know how the P4 handles software updates, but your tablet/phone, the controller, the drone itself, and the batteries all have seperate software that needs updating.
If your drone and controller are a generation or two older software than the app on your tablet is, they don't know how to talk to each other reliably.
I think they made software updates on the 4 easier than on the 3, but can still be the issue?
And, did you calibrate the drone.....
