littlejo - 7/28/2017 08:30 is there any way turnips/triticale seeded about next week would work for grazing this fall and haying next yr? first frost anytime after sept 15 tho usually later anymore. I don't think turnips will develop in Montana if planted Aug 1. Cereal rye might give you some late grazing then again or hay next spring. Needs moisture though. Might be worth a try on a small patch though.
