We have a Kinetico for the last 6 months now. It has two tanks so even while regenerating, you still have soft water coming from the second tank. The only thing I would like to see them change is to allow the regeneration to only occur within a set time range.

It seems the regeneration kicks in as soon as needed, which means as soon as your evening shower is done, so its going when your trying to go to sleep. Or you have company coming over so you run the dishwashwer and take a shower, so its regenerating as soon as they get there. I know one of their selling points is no electricity needed, but I would gladly plug it in to have a timer run it only at 2am.

Maybe if I finished my basement and insulated that room, it wouldn't bother me as much to have it regenerating in the daytime.
