Texas | I don't know the answer but why spend money at all from an HSA? It is the best retirement option out there. I have mine invested in mutual funds, max the contribution each year and have never taken a penny out. It grows tax free just like an IRA, you can deduct the contribution and the best part you can save your medical receipts and reimburse yourself at any time.
It's like an IRA you can take money from tax free at any time without penalty as long as you have the medical receipts to back it up. Also if you end up with a ton in there you can make withdrawals at retirement age without penalty without receipts. We have had ours since 2007 or so and easily have 50k in medical receipts we could draw out of it at any time. | |
