The foot switch can be used when swath control is checked off, and yes, a manifold is needed for every shut off valve. I would not recommend T'ing your shut off valves on a straight piece of pipe. Fertilizer Dealer Supply did furnish a new type of distribution manifold for the section shut off valves. it look similar to a regular manifold, but much larger and only has six outlet ports.
