Kind of like downward stated "If my memory serves correct" Run the variable so the top shieve is spread as far as it will go(fast rotor speed). We usually put a block,2x4 or something in the top spread pulley just in case belt tries to slip out. You don't have to remove the rotor drive belt from the top shieve. Take the arms loose that support the bearing on lower shieve and remove the arms(watch for small bushings on the top pivot pin) then slide bottoim shieve out asfar as possible without completely removing. I think it has to be slid back in a little to get belt over end of shaft between clean grain elevator. Work header drive belt under cylinder drive belt and put back together useing the bolt at the bottom of the arms to retension the rotor belt. Be sure to rotate pulleys while tightening.
