You may have clogged drains on the evaporator tray, but likely just having to dry the AC evaporator when you turn on the heat. The AC evaporator is cooler than outside air temp and sweats moisture out of the air, so the evaporator core gets covered with moisture. Turning on the heater drys the moisture off the evaporator and blows it into the cab. When this wet air hits the cool windows, you get instant fog. Turning the heat and air flow up to max will dry out the heater / AC box and get warm dry air into the cab fairly quickly, which drys the fog off the windows.
My 1000 series Steiger is a real bear for this condition, often have to stop for a minute or so when switching from AC to heat to allow the fog to clear.
