Illinois-Ontario | I am looking for advice on buying my first log splitter. I am starting out "cold" on this and have never even run one before. Would like to buy the best the first time. The logs would be 18 inches or less and mostly under 12 inches.
For power, I have a hydraulic power unit that I brought to the north country from the farm, with that purpose in mind, or I have a newer Cat skid steer that could be used, but would need to figure out how to safely rig up the hydraulics.
Do any of you have any suggestions on what brand/type to buy and where would the best place be to look. Thanks for any help. | |
