I'd be suspicious of a Canadian made diesel, too! But yes, the point that American made product doesn't result in Import Duties is important.

There seems to be a rule change lately where we are having to get a Manufacturer's Affidavit (to prove point of origin) on more of the units we send across the border. It's easy for us to get the Deere form, but I haven't heard how that will go for other brands.

One other thing. Whatever you take across has to be clean. If not, you pay someone at the border to do it for you. I don't think you would like the rates.
