Minnesota | I recently came across this posting from last fall. I know this site is not for sales, but I have discovered a very cost effective way to eliminate this problem. A couple of years ago I was working with one of my customers who were very frustrated with the wheels burning off. (This was a 8RT John Deere) It didn’t make any difference whose wheels we installed they would fail. After spending a day working on alignment with no improvement, I made a spacer and moved the wheel out 3/16 of an inch. Immediately the temperature dropped 50 degrees. That tractor has not had a mid-wheel failure since. On the 8RT you are able to put spacers behind all twelve wheels for less than the cost of one mid-wheel. This method also works on the AGCO MT700. If you would like more information call me at 218-431-0086. www.tracks4tractors.com
