Agreee with what others have said, but how are you going 22 mph in a 4430? Ours went about 18, as does our 4440.
It likely originally came with 18.4 x 38's. Could possibly even had 18.4 x 34's. The tractors came from the factory with the proper differential gearset to run about 18.5 mph at rated speed (2200 rpm) with whatever tire size you spec. WOT is usually about 2500 rpm, so that will generally push you close to 20 mph+/-. Add taller wheels/tires after the fact, and yes, you can get 22 +/- mph out of an older tractor.
We have a 4640 that originally had 18.4 x 38 rears. With step up rims and 18.4 x 42's it runs 24 mph +/- at 2450 rpms. |
