Mather, Manitoba | Non USA citizens cant be in procession of firearms or ammunition while in the USA. One of laws passed quickly post 9-11. Sometimes the local USA CBP setup and do an export inspection of vehicles leaving the country. Occasionally they catch a Canadian buying cheap 22lr shells. Don't even think of going into the usa with any spent or unspent shells in the vehicle. Don't know the laws on other weapons such as knives but it's best to leave them at home as well.
So yes: we are easy targets to take advantage of while in the lower 48.
