A little UpDate -
DID run sprinkler at about 1/4"
..then got .90" rain a couple days later - washed a few under....
...then got .04" rain a couple days later
...so NO crust.....
Flowers came up.... and kept fillin in... for 3 weeks....!!
A lot of those washed under (maybe 3" deep) came up!!

Ended up with a pretty decent stand...

Of course, the pros might say - those that came up a week late are weeds.....but those tend to be in spots...where they aren't competin too much w/ the early plants.

So - we will see where it goes from here.....
