| I've never witnessed a Deere VRD' "act up" and not run the correct speed when everything is programmed correctly. There are additional variables that can enter the discussion, especially with the abundance of take off parts available with people upgrading.
With that being said, several years ago Deere had a programming error with a particular software version where the drives would not spin a bean disc the correct speed to drop the right bean numbers. We adjusted the disc hole count to compensate until Deere made the correction with the next version. This was discovered by ground truthing the actual drop and not relying on the seed sensors completely. The error was pretty small at a couple percent, if I remember right. | |
