| Saw something in the news I was quite surprised at today. Said a barbecue grill started on fire and flames were in the supply tubes. Have burnt my share of grills doing that also. Spiders(or so I thought) built webs and nests in the tubes and changed the gas mix,,,burns back and melts end of hose off and it spews all over.
Just never heard of a tank blowing before,,,guess the pressure in the tank always kept flames out of the tank. My guess is the tank had to run to zero pressure to allow the flame inside the tank. Its got to be an unusual occurrence. Said two firemen were treated for minor injuries and released,,,great news.
Is that the general reason a tank blows up? Rare or more common than we know? ANY preventative tips to keep bugs and spiders out of orifices? | |
