SW Minnesota | The majority around me have no issues with the idea of buffers, the issue is the law is poorly written. Ditch A requires 50ft, because a "lake" outlets through it. Ditch B requires 16.5 ft because its county. But ditch C requires nothing. Why not make it 16.5ft on all ppen ditches/creeks and 50ft on rivers and lakes and be done with it. And then require any lake front property to not be mowed/fertilized within 50ft..... Oh wait that would adversley affect the DNR/tourist so we cant do that.... | |
