With old disk you will be lucky if you don't have to make another pass. Here we love vt disk, actually I do, dad doesn't. Vt disk won't ridge, better job of sizing residue than old disk. Can also cover ground faster of you have the hp. They are not a tool meant to dry out wet ground though. It has it's place for us but they are pricey.
