I never took it that you were assuming I was. The path to 170 is paved with a lot better weather and the proof lies in the past few years yields. Here in Kankakee county we have had some real sh-- weather thrown at us and I can without a doubt say that it adds up fast what a crop can take. What is amazing is the resiliency of the corn crop to take early cold and snow. It doesn't concern me nearly as much as saturated cold crap. Just like 2014 here we replanted a lot of soils susceptible to crusting. Lots of guys quit planting by Tuesday here with the weather coming, myself included.
