Subject: RE: Planting beans tomorrow?

West Central IL

We finished up corn Saturday.  Started beans yesterday, but, we only planted with the 12/23 and left the 8/15 in the shed for the time being.  Supposed to get a boatload of rain over the next few days.  We've been dry here for a while, yesterday looked like the dust bowl with the wind blowing.  On the other hand, neighbor had a 16 row and a 16/31 planting beans full force the last couple of days trying to beat the rain.  Not supposed to be as cool here as you will have and our ground will absorb an inch of rain pretty fast as dry as it's been.  Have heard mixed reviews from the seed salesmen, one says to plant, the ground is right, and the next one says it's too early, don't go hog wild on planting yet, but plant a few.  We've got about 250 acres in, not sure if we'll plant in the morning or not, depends on if the rain is here by then.  We put in about 1200 acres.
