It is a bit unusual that you replace one blade (on the side opposite the single disk fertilizer opener) more frequently than the other. The blades on a true vee opener should be the same diameter. There were folks that put a larger disc on one side years ago but the unit really needs to be designed for offset disks if that is what anyone wants.



With JD single disc openers we always replaced one side more often than the other. Almost everyone I know that runs them, has the exact same problem. One year it just absolutely shredded one side. We had to replace one side halfway through the season on every row because it had torqued the bearing mount from the disc.
