Had the exact same thing happen to me, while welding. That was the first time I had steel removed from my eyes.
I waited until the nexy day to go to Dr. Doc said that pieces like that are hot enough to just "melt" into the outer layer of the eyeball. Then, every time you blink, you scratch the inside of your eyelid.
