| I'm not sure about the dongle deal you're referring to with a mac book Pro, but Thunderbolt connections are 10Gig per second connection speed,.... I have a feeling you're not overly confident in the mac pro yet. but I encourage you to revisit this port in 6 months to a year.... the Mac book Pro is a damn nice computer, and I doubt you overpaid, you finally got a quality product that will still work great a few years from now. all Apple products are more expensive than anyone else, they also don't need antivirus software, they come with free updates, they don't package their software with 3rd party companies for money....
I will admit there's a big learning curve going from windows to a Mac, but I promise if you have a positive attitude, you'll be glad you made the switch. IMHO
