Subject: RE: Getting rid of old gasoline

North Central Illinois
I tried lighting a brush pile with old gas, 5-10 years old. Figured it was so bad it would be safe, especially since it ended up mixed with about 10% used motor oil. Came out with one less eyebrow, a bit of a "haircut" on one side, a blistering burn down the vein on one bicep, and the smell of singed chicken. Fortunately, nothing serious. I will never do that again. I was standing in a huge fireball the moment I hit the trigger on the propane torch. Ran the rest of it through the old M Farmall. Ran surprisingly well.
