I'd really like to see the original test/report that concluded that "1/3 of total emissions" in the US emanate from rural burn barrels.
I remain skeptical of that number, unless you define "emissions" very narrowly, or else conduct the tests in specific ways.
I'll bet all the rural cardboard/waste burning in the whole US doesn't emit as much CO2 as the contents of a couple of unit trains headed for a coal fired power plant....
I can be convinced I'm wrong, but it is going to take some evidence.....
