...I'm glad you included manure in that description. I've found our no-till fields without cover crops over the last 20 years are still the same OM than when we plowed them. BUT!!! that is with a soil sample pulled the same way (8"). If I took a sample of only the top 2.5"...I think the OM would be quite high.
Any real success stories on increasing OM?
