| If you are getting the non-response in Office Outlook, yet Outlook Express works, there is a change somewhere keeping your Office Outlook from connecting to your mail server. What is surprising is you said you could still receive email in office outlook.
What you should do is right click the office outlook symbol in the lower right and exit from the program, then restart it and see if it connects. If so, then it was a program problem caused by leaving it running in the background, which is not unheard of with programs that stay running in the background.
If it does not work, then you should compare mail server settings between the two programs, and make sure they are set the same. Another thing to check is if you save your passwords in the program, office outlook may have an old password saved. Or you changed the password in office outlook, but it did not change on the mail server, which explains why express would still work.
Bottom line, I would exit and restart the program, then ensure your mail server settings in office outlook are proper. It sounds like you have proper settings for one server, but not the other. You have to have proper settings for both outgoing mail, and incoming mail. Often they are the same setting, but there may be a single character wrong so its worth a check. | |
