I'm assuming you're talking Corel Draw, but the same thing happened when they bought Word Perfect. The kind explanation is that Corel had difficulty transitioning to the Windows 95 world. Up till then, Draw and Word Perfect could play in the DOS/Win3.1 sandbox and think things were going well. Win95 changed everything. The market now was primarily new people who never heard that Draw and Word Perfect were the only way to get serious work done. Or, maybe the primary owner of Corel lost his focus. His wife got a bit of press for this dress.
