Subject: Looks like E-Bay's got competition

Eastern Ontario

At first glance I thought that "Swoopo " was a scam, but it turns out they do things differently. There was an auction for $80 cash and sold for $30. That one's got you scrathing your head right. On top of that it was 100% off, so you pay nothing right. Not so. Swoopo charges $1 for each bid you place. I assume the owner of the auction will receive a large part of that money. So the idea is to offer a procuct dirt cheap and hope people bid like crazy. Your main income is the bids, then the auction price ( extremely low). Seems like a better way to sell than E-Bay, at least for small items.

I did the math: Each bid increses the offer by 15 cents. So, a final price of $30 would have gotten 200 bids. That's $200 bucks ( $120 income). Good deal for both buyer and seller. The other bidders are the loosers.
