In the end, that's my biggest concern. What I've seen so far of the actual usability of BeInSync really amazes me. It really does look like a "set it and forget it" system. The fact that they were bought out by Phoenix Technologies gives me some comfort. That's almost a grandfather company in the computer industry even if normal people haven't heard of it. The stories this old grandfather would tell: "I remember when you had to go into the computer's bios to change the time. None of this just clicking on the screen stuff. And don't get me started on what you had to do to switch hard drives."
With the right software, a dual USB drive system would be just about as simple but with slightly greater risk of data loss in the event of a catastrophy. I'd have to make sure I swap the drives immediately after a major event like loading vacation pictures.
