| You normally see higher aluminum levels in heavier soils. In turn with soils and elements you have + and - charges. Gypsum is
CaSo4 +, charge. Elevated aluminum levels have a tendency to tie things up. One thing to remember and it has been touched on briefly... Gypsum isn't gypsum... just like lime isn't lime.... Stick with high cal lime for awhile when you do lime. With the gypsum you can continue to elevate you Calcium which is really never a bad thing and not change your ph. But with many situations... a perfect remedy doesn't exist and you have give and take in order to reach the final destination. When in doubt..... test strips, as big as possible, put a 2000, 3000, 4000 lb test strips in. Ask for an analysis for what your buying and compare numbers!!!
