The Vue Pro can’t be upgraded to a Vue Pro R.
New firmware is available that improves the operation of the Vue Pro, and you can upgrade to this version. However, only the Vue Pro R will have temperature measuring capability. Part of the reason for this is that it goes through additional temperature calibration in the factory. There is no field upgrade to R.
If you want temperature measurement then I suggest that you order the Vue Pro R. We are accepting pre-orders now. The cameras should ship by the end of June.
