| I have had two of them done.
Not the worst thing in the world, but I have a decent high pain tolerance. The experience really hurts some people.
They numb the area, but when they are pounding the needle in you feel it through your bones. When it gets through into the marrow, that is when it pinches. They draw out a sample, and it feels like it is being sucked out all the way down to your toes.
The person who does it makes a great deal of difference. The second time I also had a nurse who was kneading my shoulders in a significant manner, and that seemed to block some of the pain.
I wouldn't go through it without a good reason. There are at least two of us here that had a very good reason to have it done. | |
