Subject: Those made in USA Redwing Boots

East Central Arkansas

These are the 608 lace up boots. I just wore them as dress boots breaking them in and finally late winter went to using them to work in. It was still pretty cool most days and did pretty good until a few weeks ago when we started getting some warmer days. Man those things are hot. They are not insulated but have a lining that must be that same cordura nylon that some boots use for the outside covering. Besides being hot that stuff is very abrasive on the top of my foot. So here I am stuck with a $200 + pair of boots I can't wear to work in. I wore a inexpensive lightly insulated Wolverine pigskin boot for years that was really comfortable but thye quit making that one. It looks like I will be going back to my old wore out Wolverines for a while or maybe a pair of hightop tennis shoes that I have had for years until I get something and get it broke in.
