I remember back in the early 1960's my father bought a Lawnmaster riding lawnmower, to mow our acre lawn. It had a 4 HP pull start Briggs and Stratton engine, 3 speed transmission, 28" deck, and cost $600.
Just bought an X300 JD, with 48" deck for a little over $3K a year ago. Dad would roll over in his grave, if he knew I paid that much for a lawn mower. But, these days, that's nothing.
