When I was a kid the mower was a 1 'man' power and father only mowed a small area close to the house at less than walking speed.
Before I was man enough to power it we got a motorized mower and the area mowed got bigger.
When I got bigger and with help from my brother the area mowed got even bigger.
Not sure what the decimals on those were but we have a riding mower now so cut lots of grass.
It is all about the decimal points
