Kingston,Mi | The painted possum reminds me of a similar painted cat we came upon while surveying road side ditch damage after the 1985 flood in Michigan's Thumb. It was on the fog line and had a white stripe across it. Being dedicated government workers we noted the station in our survey notes where the dead cat was located, took the orange marker paint and wrote "dead cat" on the asphalt.
