bosshogg88 - 7/26/2008 14:32 sprayed some headline last year..........all was applied at 20% tassel, 0 problems with 13bu/ac advantage! just water and headline, using a ground rig, on 5 different varieties. i think there is more to the beer style cobs then going early! I agree that there's a lot more to this supposed "beer canning" (which was pretty isolated, I've only "heard" about it). Last year here in C IL everyone went full bore with the headline right at tassel. I'm talking tassels just starting to shoot. I'd guess nearly 85% around here was sprayed (air applied) and ZERO problems were presented..The results were from good to great.
