Have looked at both of those.
We have an Empyre 450 about 12 or so years old, it takes 4 ft long wood and a door that is big enough for any block I can lift.
Has been very maintenance free.
Needed a new fan last year for draft and door needs rebuild or replacement now.
May try a new seal on door, $20, for this year and then decide what to do.
New door $750 or rebuild $300 but dealer is 4 hour drive from us now.
Had a dealer closer when we bought it.

May try rebuild on my own next summer.


The furnace I have is a portage and Maine not sure of the model, but it's the big one they sell, if I can lift it into the Firefox it will burn it, 4ft deep fire box big door, only needs stoked once a day so far but it hasn't been to cold
