Near Richmond, IN | We've dried wheat many different years and always used a little heat. Ours was for seed so we never went much about 105 degrees and it would usually dry pretty fast, but you can't put wheat very deep in a layer and get air through it. Our small bins and fans-drying in a batch- we would only fill about 3.5' to 4' at the most and still be able to get air through it. Of course that would depend on your fan and ours were set up for drying seed corn on the ear and air goes through that really easily. | |
