Scranton | They sure seemed to be paid adequately around here. The local paper lists wages in the paper....there are a TON of teachers making $55 to $70 k....they start around second week of august and work till first week of june at the latest....that's ten months, less several extended holidays and spring break. The school year is 180 days, plus add in another dozen days, which puts it at 192 days. At nine hours per day, they are making $35/hr...that's plenty for living in Iowa AFAIC. | |
