Thanks for the information.  The think I really don't like, is that stalled growth doesn't canopy the ground as fast and you give the weeds room to grow.  The part I hate is with equal inputs and planting date, the cows are getting lost in the 6' tall sudan, and the pearl millet is still putting along at ground level.  Why do you prefere millet over sudan grass?  Sudan grass seems to have the same stalk, if not thinner than millet.
