Chris, I made my new pin out of stressproof and machined 2 flat spots for the setcrew to dig into. I also drilled in 2 inches from each end and tapped the hole out with a 3/4 fine thread tap. If it should for some odd reason ever break again, I can get hold of it and pull it out. Everything else about the sprayer has been trouble free.
