Cedar Rapids, Iowa
When you shorten the height of the antenna, you're effectively reducing the tilt correction ability. On a smooth hill, this will do exactly what you want. However, when you go through some rough ground such as when you cross a waterway on an angle, the tractor will quickly sway left and right. Without the tilt correction being accurate, it thinks the tractor is getting significantly off the line, so you'll probably get a "S" curve or something coming out of the waterway until it can straighten out again.
