Remsen, IA | 07's weren't exactly covered by warranty either. It cost $50 a row to get them replaced which didn't exactly thrill me considering how expensive they were in the first place, all the time I lost cleaning the old ones out every 100 acres, all the skips I had when they started failing and that they new ones don't fit the same so it took considerable time to stop and install the upgrades.
As for the lubing, most lubes just attract dirt making the problem worse. Fresh lube makes them work good for a bit then the dirt starts collecting. If you have time on a rainy day, I'd take the clutch out of the plastic housing, clean it out and wipe it down before reassembling it. Maybe you are already using it but dry silicone is the suggested lube.
