| It was my understanding original development for the 2 different monitor were as follows, the non-touch screen (2100) was for the European market and the touch screen (2600) for the US market. In Europe they have accepted an ISO bus standardization that all companies need to adhere to. The 2100 model fit these standards.
For what-ever reason JD marketing must have realized that some US farmers did not want the touch screen. So we have 2 choices…
I also believe the 2100 track-ball can be used on the 2600 if wanted.
