We live ten miles from Ft. Madison on the Illinois side and my wife teaches there. It is great to live so close that we can get our fuel in Iowa and save on average ten to twelve cents per gallon. If Iowa raises the tax, it honestly won't change our shopping habits too much, since we are over there so often anyway. The only thing that might change is that if I happen to be in say Carthage or Hamilton (Illinois towns) and happen to need gas, I won't necessarily wait to get it.
I fail to understand logic of this.
