southern MN | Poor yields when you have to mud in a crop by me. Low spots drown out, the high spots always seem to find a dry week and don't hold the yields either. Mud is aweful stuff to have to deal with. Roots don't develop. They are forcasting cold & wet through May 17th here - very little done so far. Field work might go Friday on the good land - rain forcast Friday afternoon & all of Saturday & into Sunday.....
Last year was the 2nd driest year I've ever seen, and we ended with near average yields, good quality corn.
