For the money, they are hard to beat. We currently have one, but it's getting replaced by a 7000 I'm building. Does ok in worked ground, but in no-till situations, it does not seal up the trench much at all. Another draw back is that the seed tubes get clogged up easy. Never come to a stop picking up or setting down the planter. If it backs up just a hair, seed tubes are gummed up.
You just brought back all the memories of digging seed tubes out. If I had to farm with a 333 and 78 row units, I would just quit farming. Trying to no till beans behind wheat did not work no matter what we tried.
