Subject: How many hd/yr to justify a hyd chute?

The Green Hills of Missouri
I am still using a manual chute I bought several years ago from the local consignment sale. I make the mistake of giving it a good soaking of PB Blaster at all the hinge points before working some calves. This headgate is a Strong Hold that opens and closes like scissors and flip open injection doors.

Now the gate opens so easy that if a calf wants to go through you can't hold him in. This is now very dangerous if you don't have a good hold of the lever.

My question is, how many hd/yr could I justify the cost of a hyd chute? My best guest would be, excluding sicks would be around 340hd.

I must do something immediately, someones going to get hurt!!

The pic is of the chute in question with the lost boar inside.
